Greg Pedersen - Head Girls Golf Coach

Mr. Pedersen is entering his third season as the head girls golf coach at Libertyville High School after spending two seasons as the jv coach. Coach Pedersen was a competitive golfer in high school earning Regional Medalist honors his senior season. He also spent his high school and college years working at a golf course and shares a strong passion for the game. Coach Pedersen has spent 17 years in education, coaching girls and boys basketball and teaching in the English department. He joined the Libertyville faculty in 1997 after teaching for two years in Sandwich, IL, and currently teaches AP English Literature and Freshman Literature, while helping students in the writing center. He received his Master's degree in Literature from Northeastern Illinois University and his Bachelor's Degree in English Education from Illinois State University. When he is not teaching, grading, or coaching, he enjoys live music, golf, and family time with his wife (Marnie), daughter (Emily), son (Justin), and golden retriever.

Katie Hyla - JV Girls Golf Coach 

Miss Hyla is excited about her third year as JV golf coach.  She hopes to share her love and enthusiasm for the game with all of her players.  Miss Hyla is beginning her 10^th year as a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher.  She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in FCS/Secondary Education in 2002.  She went on to get her Masters in FCS in 2003.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family.  Last year, she ran her first Chicago Marathon!
