On behalf of Libertyville High School and the Athletic Department, we would like to welcome you to Libertyville High School. We truly believe that athletics are an integral part of the educational program for the students. The Athletic Department will provide every opportunity for the student-athlete to participate in athletics, and also provide the proper facilities and educated coaches.
Libertyville High School has a tradition of producing competitive teams that also display good sportsmanship. As you become a Wildcat, we encourage you to become involved in Athletics through coaching, working or attending athletic events. In 2010-2011, there were 1,244 student-athletes that made a commitment to athletics.
If you have any questions, or if we can help in any way, please contact us.

Congratulations to the LHS Athletes of the Week...

Margaret Haws, Softball.  This past week, Margaret hit .571 with 1 double and 2 HR (one was a grand slam) and 10 RBIs.  She also played solid defense in left field in leading the Wildcats to wins over Stevenson and Vernon Hills.  The softball team will play a double header tomorrow at home vs. Leyden.

Jen Angster, Girls Track.  At the IHSA Sectional meet, Jen’s efforts accounted for a third the team points in leading the Wildcats to a top ten team finish.  She also qualified for the IHSA State meet in the 200 meter dash, and broke the school record with a time of 25.86 seconds.  That school record was 25 years old; one of the longest standing records for LHS.  Jen will compete at the IHSA State meet next week at Eastern Illinois University.

Katie McAuliffe, Girls Soccer.  This past week, Katie had goals against Lake Forest, Warren and Grant in leading the team to 2 victories.  The soccer team will be in action tonight at the Soccer Complex vs. Waukegan in the opening game of the Regionals.

Nick Ward, Boys Lacrosse.  Last Saturday, Nick had 4 goals and 3 assists to help lead the offense to their best played game of the season in a 11-6 win over #5 Lyons Township.  The team also defeated VHHS this past week.  The team will play again on Tuesday at Loyola and Wednesday at home vs. Mundelein.

NSC Sportsmanship Mission

People involved in all facets of the interscholastic program are expected to demonstrate respect for others and display good sportsmanship.
