Student Athletic Trainers

Student athletic trainers volunteer their time to assist with practice and game preparations.  These students are enrolled in a Sports Medicine/Athletic Training class that gives them an opportunity to observe first-hand the procedures of the physicians, athletic trainers, and Emergency Medical System (EMS).  The course instructs students in the prevention, immediate care, therapy, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries.  Laboratory and case studies also constitute the major components of the coursework.  This experience is invaluable for those students considering a career in becoming an athletic trainer, physician, physical therapist, or any other health care profession.  The student athletic trainer's assistance is greatly appreciated by the medical staff and coaches.  They are in integral part of all our teams.  A grateful Thank You to the entire student athletic trainers for their willingness and dedication to help keep our athletes healthy and safe.
