CRC Philosophy

The Libertyville High School College and Career Resource Center is committed to assisting students and their parents in all phases of the post-secondary planning process.  Through supportive relationships with parents, counselors and teachers, we are committed to promoting and enhancing the academic achievement and personal growth of each and every student, continually reinforcing high expectations and successful post-secondary transition.

We believe:

• Students should develop an academic and career plan that appropriately challenges them and prepares them for life after high school.
• Students should develop a strong self-knowledge and understand their strengths to make informed career and post-graduate decisions.
• Students should have the academic preparation essential to choose from a wide range of substantial post-secondary options, including college.
• Students will understand the relationship of their academics to the world of work and to life at home and in the community.
