Abbott & Fenner Business Scholarship

Abbott & Fenner are business consultants committed to continuing our efforts at helping those who have the desire and ambition to succeed. The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post-secondary institution. All applicants should include their full name and mailing address with their submissions. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic below. The essay should be between 500 and 1000 words. What have you done outside the classroom that demonstrates qualities sought after by the post-secondary institution that you are hoping to attend? AES Engineering Scholarship

Scholarships are intended for future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students. To be eligible the student needs to answer one of the essay questions that they will find on our site at http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm. Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted. AHETEMS Scholarship

Merit-based and need-based general scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,000 - $3,000, to qualified high school graduating seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students who demonstrate both significant motivation and aptitude for a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. ELIGIBILITY -Hispanic-descent-U.S. citizenship is not required-be accepted into or attending an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university in the United States or Puerto Rico-be enrolled full-time (12 hrs undergraduate, 9 hrs graduate) during the academic year, high school graduating seniors must be graduating from an accredited U.S. high school with a diploma, minimum GPA: 3.00 on a 4.0 for high school seniors and undergraduates; 3.25 on a 4.0 scale for graduate students-must be a SHPE member to apply, major in science, technology, engineering, mathematics or a related field, be pursuing your first bachelors, masters or doctoral degree. AITCOY

Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship

Be sure to include your name and the school you are attending this year and next. This is not an academic scholarship but we would like to know where you are going to school now and what your future academic plans are. Dean Ritter Trust for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Scholarship

The Dean Ritter Trust for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Scholarship is a scholarship open to graduating high school seniors and intended to cover tuition or related costs for the selected recipients to an accredited technical school or university. Recipients may use the funds received for any semester including summer sessions, during the awarded academic year. For the 2014 academic year, up to six recipients will be awarded scholarships varying between $1,000 and $5,000 each. Recipients will be chosen based on financial need and school and community involvement. Great Clips

Chicago and Northwestern Indiana area salons and Great Clips, Inc. are sponsoring five (5) $500 scholarships for individuals interested in pursuing a career in cosmetology or barbering after graduation from high school. Lake County Kappa Fund Scholarship

Criteria for Selection Students applying for the scholarship must be a resident of Lake County or nearby surrounding areas. Students must submit a completed application to the committee via email or via website. Candidate must be a current high school or college student. Candidate should have a solid academic record, a clear track record of leadership, a commitment to hard work and excellence, creativity and initiative, and consistent ethical behavior.

Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity

This scholarship is not a traditional scholarship focused on rewarding academic achievement and financial need. Its specific goal is to reward and encourage innovative and creative problem solving. Eligible applicants to the Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity must satisfy these two conditions: 1. Applicant must be (a) a high school junior, or (b) a high school senior, or (c) any person entering an undergraduate degree program* in the fall after the application deadline or the following spring, or (d) a student in the first year of an undergraduate degree program*. 2. Peter J. Herchenbach Memorial Scholarship

For seniors currently battling cancer, or other life threatening illnesses. During 2006, the Herchenbach family lost son Peter to a brain stem tumor. Pete's legacy was his gracious love for others and his quick smile. The Memorial Fund supports students like Peter whose high school experience is being overshadowed by their disease. "We support smiling warriors battling difficult health challenges by reinforcing their hope in a beautiful future. Psi U Scholarship Grant

The Psi Usilon Scholarship Grant Program awards scholarships totaling $2,500 to three incoming male freshmen attending University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign: First place=$1,750, Second place=$500, Third place=$250. Candidates should exhibit the highest moral, intellectual and social excellence. Applying for or receiving the grant in no way obligates you to join Psi Upsilon Fraternity. No proof of financial need required and grants are non-renewable.

Sara Scholarship

The Sara Scholarship was established in 2012 as part of the final will of Sara Sheehan, who passed away in 2011. The award, funded through the Henry & Sara Sheehan foundation, is granted annually to female high school seniors who plan to pursue a college degree and who demonstrate academic achievement, excellence of character, financial need and active engagement with the sport of golf. Skill in playing golf is not a criterion. The Sara Scholarship awards $2000 per year to be applied towards tuition, books, board and other expenses. A minimum of twelve $2000 scholarships will be awarded per year. The grant is eligible for renewal throughout the applicant’s undergraduate college career up to four years, for a total amount of $8000.

Sarah Elizabeth Stubblefield Memorial Scholarship for Persons with Epilepsy
