Preschool Program

About the Program:

The Little Cats Preschool program is unique in that it is run by our high school students. This is a learning experience for both the high school and preschool students. The high school students are responsible for creating and running learning centers and circle time activities. The program is play-based and fairly unstructured. This allows for preschoolers to select preferred activities and learn through play in those activities.

Typical Daily Activities:

Within the time the preschoolers are here they will have a morning meeting (circle time) where teachers lead them in singing songs and storytelling. There is also a significant time for preschoolers to play in our learning centers. These include spaces with materials focused on art, sensory, make-believe play, science & math concepts, construction, and reading. Finally, we will spend some time in the gym or an outdoor space to work on developing large muscle movements. Snacks will also be provided.

Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 schedules will posted once they are available.
