Pop Up Art Show
The Pop Up Art Show at Libertyville High School is a unique event that showcases the talent and creativity of our student artists midway through the school year. This annual event features upwards of 200 pieces of artwork, spanning a wide range of disciplines including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, jewelry, ceramics, glass, digital art, and more. Students from all levels have the opportunity to display their work, providing a preview of what the Fine Arts program offers. With its intimate setting and interactive atmosphere, the Pop Up Art Show allows visitors to experience live art creation, including a life-drawing session where students can quickly sketch models and share their work. This event is a chance to celebrate our students’ achievements and creativity before the larger spring art show, offering an early look at the diversity and depth of our artistic community.
May Art Show
The May Art Show at Libertyville High School is an annual celebration of our students' creative talents, held at the end of the second semester. This two-day event features artwork from a variety of art elective classes, including AP Portfolio students, who display their work in individual booths. Visitors can explore a wide range of mediums, such as pottery, glass, metalsmithing, drawing, painting, and more, all displayed throughout the Main Gym. The event also includes dynamic and interactive experiences for students and visitors alike. The show is open to the public in the evening, making it a fantastic opportunity for friends and family to celebrate the incredible work of our student artists.
