Students in advanced placement classes who wish to participate in AP testing will register using Total Registration beginning in September and concluding by the end of October. Communication with all registration instructions will be send out to all parents/guardians and students prior to the start of the registration process.
National ACT

The ACT test dates are accurate as of August 2024.
National ACT exams are held throughout the year on Saturdays. The national ACT will be offered at LHS in September of 2024; students must take the test at alternate locations for the other test dates (see the chart below).
The ACT will also be given as a school-based (weekday) test in the Spring.
Important notes about testing dates:
1. Do your colleges require a test? Check out Fairtest.org before you pay to register.
2. Watch for and complete all registration steps via the national portals. Incomplete registration profiles may result in an automatic removal from the testing roster if not completed by the deadline.

Pre ACT 8/9

The PreACT 8/9 is the first exam in a series of preACT assessments, which are tightly aligned with the ACT. This test is based on validated ACT College and Career Readiness Standards and ACT College Readiness Benchmarks and gives students an early measure of college and career readiness while providing performance predictions and instructional support.
Student scores on the PreACT 8/9 will play a role in the 9th-grade course placement process. Students residing within the Libertyville High School boundary will test at Libertyville High School on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 8:15 A.M. Students unable to attend the initial test date can attend the make-up date on November 2, 2024 at Vernon Hills High School. PSAT

Optional PSAT-NMSQT for 11th Graders
Fall 2024, Date: October 10th
This is an SAT Suite of Assessments exam that is used to determine eligibility for the National Merit Scholar Program. This exam will be offered as an optional test to all LHS 11th graders only. Information regarding this exam and associated signup fees will be distributed to all 11th graders in the Fall.

Libertyville High School Required Testing
All Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior students in the state of Illinois participate in an ACT assessment during the school year as part of the state assessment plan. Each of these exams are administered during the school day at no cost to students or families. Libertyville High School will automatically register each of our students to participate in these exams. Students with testing accommodations will receive individual testing plans based on their specific testing needs. Student will participate in the state of Illinois testing in the Spring.
